Cherish the moment

Hi guys,
Gosh it was hot yesterday, really summer weather, so nice to have, so was out in the garden quite a bit lol,
Well peeps it's Sunday so of course it's time for the Totally Tilda challenge which this time is a recipe
Pearls/ swirls/Ribbon and Lace,
you must use all of the recipe items, and it's fab as you can be as creative as you like and have lots of fun too, I know I did lol,
As you can see I've also used cheesecloth, fancy corners and lots of other things too,

Tilda is coloured with Distress ink re-inkers and when cut out I have sat her on the lovely Sissix clock die, yes I've used it again lol, this time the hands are made using the die that came with the clock so I could use acetate so you could see the verse which I stamped on which is from a Tim Holtz stamp collection urban chic CMS086,
The clock is made from watercolour paper which I have distressed with tumbled glass Distress ink,

I am loving these re-inkers, though still need practise lol,
The flowers are a mixture of Prima, hand made using the scalloped edged Marianne die which I have added some acrylic paint to, to match the bits I have added to the clock and the  lovely blue flowers came from The Works,
The butterfly die is a Martha Stewart punch, the swirls are Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies, the lace and the ribbon came from  a local market, pearls from stash,
My Basic Grey  paper edges are distressed using my Tim Holtz distress tool,
as you can see I love Sissix and Tim Holtz stuff lol,

challenges
Magnolia Mania ~ Ribbon or lace, I've used both hope it still counts,
Prairie Fairy Friday ~ Inspiration photo,
Totally Papercrafts ~ Bling it up
CES ~ Feeling the blues

Well peeps, hope your having a lovely day,
have fun!
will be back with my candy winner tomorrow

Diggin it Tilda

Hi peeps,
guess what it rained yesterday, did it hear me say how gorgeous it was being because Jim's off lol,
Jim and Si went fishing last night so it was play time for me, I made this card for the TOMIC challenge which want stitching,
which as you know is something I do a lot anyway lol,

I've coloured Tilda with distress re-inkers and the background behind her too,
while Jim's been off we went to a craft shop and they had this gorgeous stamp set which included the grasses
so I blended distress ink from the DI pads on watercolour paper in two colours then using a stronger colour stamped the grasses on top,

The butterfly at the top left was done using two colours of DI then I've sewn three strands from the bottom of it to make a tail as the butterfly had trailing ends on the wings,

To finish it off tiny opaque gems have been added,
A hint of stickles and a small blue pearl finishes off diggin Tilda lol,
to keep in with the stitching theme the button has sewing thread through too,

Challenges
TOMIC ~ Stitching

off today putting some curtains up for Kay, don't think she should do it as she's 37 weeks today, so not long to go now lol,
will catch up with you later, have a lovely day,
have fun!
love and hugs Liz xx

All images are of course by Magnolia and are coloured onto watercolour paper, the papers are Magnolia too,
challenges
Cutie Sunday ~ Summer

Paperplays challenge is by our lovely Mandy and is in the garden
we are being sponsored by Whiff of Joy with one stamp,
Thisa time my image has been coloured with copics, yes I love to use both lol, but I've edged my card with DI,
Tilda is masked with the tree then cut out using a spellbinders labels die,
the charm was from The Works, the corner die is a quickcutz,
I've had a go at doing pleats on her dress, which I enjoyed doing  so you may see more in the future if I can remember how I did it lol,

Cupcake Heaven

Hi peeps, your going to love the challenge for today at
it's for cupcakes,
One of my favourite Tildas is sat on hers, might be a bit squished after wards lol,
Been practising my Distress re-inkers painting again so as you can see all three images are painted with them, I have also of course masked Tilda on to the cup cake too,
the shape of the card is using a Marianne die, and I've used craftwork cards candy on the edges,
the large  verse is a Magnolia text stamp,
I've used one of my swirly things again to hold the small verse which is from a Hero Arts clear stamp set and also has the small cupcake on it too,

I've edged the cake and the ribbon with some star dust stickles,
challenges
Charisma cardz ~ sunshine colours
Crafts 4 Eternity ~ shaped cards

OOOpppsss almost forgot it's there is still a week to go for the Totally Tilda challenge which is for a
Christmas hanging decoration,
As you can see I did another bauble using the acetate domes,
Tilda is coloured with copics, and the same white acrylic paint and glitter was used for the background,
the music notes are peel off stickers and the flowers are from stash, I made the twirly things using craft wire,

Thanks for your lovely comments I really appreciate them all and for all my lovely new followers too, I am hoping to get round to visit you soon, yesterday my day went off plan as Kay turned up again and we went  shopping etc again to look for baby stuff, oh such hard work!!! lol,

It's Saturday already, had a lovely few days my daughter who is due her baby in four weeks was having a few days off so we went to Mamma's and Pappa's to drool lol, I've had a headache on and off all week so it was nice to have a change, then we went out to lunch and my headache disappeared, my diet ain't doing me no good lol,

sorry on to the challenge!
well it's Saturday so it's time for Basic Grey and our challenge this time is set by our lovely Heather and it's a sketch for you,
Loved this sketch and will so be using it again, thanks hun,
As you can see I've used Teddy Bea shopping from Teddy Bo, ain't she gorgeous, I've coloured my images with my distress re-inkers, yes still practising but loving them lol,
I've used my Sissix clock die again too are you fed up of seeing it? I must admit it's the most used die I've ever had, this time for the middle I used the masking technique to place my image in the centre where I wanted it, coloured it then added the Tim Holtz clock hands on top,
I mixed some of my re-inkers to make the colours of her hat and scarf, like I say still practising so don't look to close to her bags lol,
I made the sentiment from the computer and added it with a swirly thing I've had for years he he, do you think the girl in the shop would know what I meant if I said I wanted to buy more swirly things lol,
Thr card is finished off with Marianne die flowers and a mist of perfect pearl shimmer mist all over the card which of course I don't think you can see he he,

Monday 18 July 2011

I thought you had the key lol,

Hi guys, it's poured down all day here and most of yesterday too, so I've put together a card which I'm not to sure of, you ever do that?
I got some Distress re inkers and wanted to practise with them, so it was more for that than anything else, lol
me thinks me still needs more practise lol, but I enjoyed using them,
as you know I love Tim Holtz stuff so I've used his papers, and his sprocket gears for the car spokes, I saw this done by the lovely mega talented  Debbie the other day and seeing as I had some, I borrowed her inspiration, hope you don't mind hun,

I used a Go Kreate die to make my card then made a few folds and applied this to the underneath front of it to give the front some steps  for the images, only six images  this time though  lol, ooppss I tell a lie their is eight as there is a snail and a mushroom that you can't see clearly! the background on the houses I did by brushing distress inks on with some  duster brushes, gives a lovely soft look,
I made the sold sign using a spellbinders die then added wire to the top for it to look like it was hanging, only then I've covered it up with the Marianne die flowers DUH!

challenges
Simon Says stamp ~ anything goes

I probably won't get round to you again tonight as I've got the hairdresser coming, but I will be back tomorrow lol, well hopefully!!!

I hope you guys are all having a lovely time what ever your doing, see you soon,
love and hugs Liz xx

ps does any one have a way of storing distress re-inkers so that you can see what colour they are out of the bottle, as they all look the same lol xx

Totally Tilda's Christmas Decoration in July

Hi peeps, now you know me, know I don't do Christmas before November then I get a couple of my DT's  that want just that lol,

The Totally Tilda challenge  is for a Christmas  hanging decoration so no cards please,

The globe is two acetate domes which on  the back one  I painted with white acrylic paint then while still wet  I applied Glamour dust too,
I coloured Skiing Tilda with copics, cut her out ( carefully those ski's are a nightmare lol) then also cut two quickcutz die  snowflakes out, these were given the glamour dust treatment too,
Is it just me or does it get everywhere!!
I attached acetate  tabs to all the images and then adhered them to the back acetate dome, this wasn't easy as the glue didn't like the surface very well lol,
I added a bit of loose Pinflair Diamond glitter to the base of my globe for mock snow which also moves when shaken,
I then glued the two domes together added a large Sissix die snowflakes which I cut in half added some lovely ribbon and job done lol

I also forgot how hard acetate is to photograph as it catches the light, so I do hope you can see it ok lol,

Challenges

Simply Create ~ Christmas time
Stamp something ~ Christmas in July

the same challenge wants a scene card for this week well I couldn't resist though it's taken ages lol,
again I've a few pictures so get a brew lol,

Now those who know me know I love to do these open cut out cards which give depth and dimension backwards as well as forward, so I used a side stepper base and cut out the middle for the scene to be added at the back and Tilda to be swinging at the front,

As you can see my images are all coloured with copics and are all then cut out, all thirteen of them!
Magnolia Doo hickey dies have been used too as you can see he he,
I've distressed some of these lightly with distress inks,
all my papers are machine sewn,
Here is the side view showing the steps at the side,
And the view from the other side lol,

Hi guys,
it looks like being a lovely day here, lets hope it keeps up as yesterday it went yuk!
still crafting time again lol,
I saw over on MDU that they wanted a kitchen theme and Just Magnolia had a sketch so I've combined the two, lol
get a brew first as there is a few pictures, are you sitting comfortably, then we'll begin lol
As you can see it's not just a card,
Tilda is coloured with distress ink pads, my favourite copic card stock has run out and horror I have no more!!!! EKK so I'm hunting round trying to see if I have anything else for the time being lol
I just had to add the gorgeous Magnolia Doo Hickey butterfly die, though you don't find many real ones in kitchens lol, and of course my sissix clock die is their as well so love this! the colour on it is metallic rub,
My papers are from Magnolia and I've used some papermania card stock for the mat and the Marianne die roses too, the tag is a Doo Hickey die too,

now for the inside,
The papers have been distressed, then sewn, pockets hold the hand made list pad and the computer generated cupcake recipe,
my images have again been coloured with Distress inks and then cut out,
I made a pen holder too with rolled up matching paper,
The letters are made using a sissix die, I've used a little cherry stamp on the pad to bring in the cherries off  the paper,

Christmas

Hi Guys,
yeah summers back!! lol
Over at Addicted to stamps challenge the theme as you will see by the title Is Christmas, now as you know I only do Christmas in November, so I had to think about this one lol,
Why the clock you may ask!
well there is a story behind that lol,
my daughter from being very little used to come into our room egging her brother to do the same, yes she woke him up to do so, hoping that because there was two of them we would get up at anything from five minutes past twelve onwards!!!
now then the little darlings would go back to sleep, but mummy would be wide awake and by tea time asleep in her soup!!! lol,
so naughty mummy used to make her wait till two!! still early me thinks!!! lol

so Ive made my card to give to her as it's now a joke in the family, as now she's married she still does the same only her hubby gets woken up with her unable to sleep and all so excited!!!

when I told my mum, she said she was the same last year!! I mean is it catching!!! lol
anyway back to the card he he,
As you can see I've used my new Sissix clock die again, I'm so loving this, only this time I've stamped a poinsettia in the middle and added tiny gold beads as the stamens, the grunge is made by  using rub on metalic,
The flowers are from Hobbycraft and the leaves are a Marianne die I think if you know any different let me know lol, my edges are machine sewn and edged with stickles glitter glue,

Tilda is coloured with copics, cut out and adhered on with glue, ooooh you can also see my ribbon peeking out,
challenges

I've distressed all the edges of my paper, the added a few pearls and a tag,
The back view has two added hearts punched with a Martha Stewart punch,
The horse shoe is created using a Marianne die cut in grunge board then the same paper used over the top which has been distressed the same as the  peg,
I cut the top bit off the circle to form the shape and added the same ribbon to compliment the two, a few roses and pearls finish it off,

Ride the waves

Hi guys, guess what it's pouring down yet again!!! still no surprise there !!! lol

to be honest, it has meant yet more crafting time lol,
Teddy Bo wants anything but a card, well the other week I won a free image for coming in the top three and this is what I was sent, well I think my brain went into over drive because this is what I've made, nothing too easy for me you know lol,
those of you who have used acetate know it isn't the easiest thing to use lol,
I must be daft, No don't answer that!!!
Got you all on your toes now haven't I thinking ohhh what's she done! he he,
Go on, are you disappointed lol!!!
I just couldn't get out my head using it with acetate! I know go figure!!
so I cut a mat of cardboard, added some paper, then added an acetate wave for this fabby Teddy Bo surfer  image to ride the waves,

The image is coloured with copics and then cut out,
I've attached a tab made out of acetate with glue and placed it on the curl of the wave!!!

It's finished off with machine stitching and Tim Holtz letters saying surfer dude,
well that's it lol,

Good Boy

Hi guys, is it raining where you are? it is here yet again, I don't think one week of summer sun is enough to call it summer do you?
still it's a good excuse to make a card,
it's a card for a fella as it's my nephews birthday soon, and I'd totally forgotten about, it Oh should I admit to that lol, any way here it is ,
I've masked Edwin with the tree but cut out the dog to give a slight 3D effect, all the images have been coloured with copics,
my papers have all been sewn and some have been distressed with my distress tool, can you see my latest Sissix clock die peeking out, not used as  a clock this time though, but it just goes to show how versatile it is lol,

Well I must go, I was on here yesterday afternoon when the door opened, I thought oh has my mum come, no it was 5o'clock and hubby was home from work, and there was me thinking it was about 3o'clock,
talk about getting engrossed lol,

Jim and Simon didn't half take the micky out of me for it too lol,

oh! should I have admitted to that as well  or not lol

see you guys later, hugs Liz xx
